Sports Day June 2019

We had two great sports day in our school this year. All classes enjoyed their races which included  relays,sprints ,egg and spoon, sack race and many more.
Infants had fun chasing bubbles, using the parachute, water relays, dodge ball and they even got their faces painted. 1st and 2nd classes tried some basketball,  an obstacle course, water races and many more fun stations.

Running Challenge

During May and June we are doing our first whole school running challenge. We aim to cover the distance from Dublin to Kilkenny which is 130km!

Outdoor and adventure activities

We are focusing on outdoor and adventure activities as our priority strand in PE this term. The active committee got together and designed an active egg hunt for Easter where they made four baskets and gave one to each year group to try out. The children had great fun with Junior Infants doing their hunt indoors and the older classes outdoors. Some classes have tried their own trails outside too.

An Damhsa Mór

We had great fun for Seachtain na Gaeilge when all classes learned how to do "An damhsa Mór "for a little céilí in the hall.
